AMCL was established in 1985 with the aim “to generate employment and earn dignity and self respect for compatriots through profitable enterprises”. The primary objective of this company is to produce juice, drinks and beverages. The primary activities of AMCL include processing and marketing of agricultural (fruit juice, processed vegetables etc) and non agricultural products (carbonated drinks, mineral water etc). The concern started its journey by exporting agricultural products, mainly vegetables, to other countries. Later on this changed to packaging of juice of international brands. Eventually, the concern started production of its own brand of juice, drinks and other beverages. Products of AMCL are sold under the brand name of PRAN which stands for “Program for Rural Advancement Nationally”. The concern started as a private limited company and converted into a public limited company in 1990. Later in 1993, the concern offloaded their shares through a public offering.
