Introduction
Our business is a new advertising technology which has become a growing trend throughout the United States. We are a graphics design business that designs, prints, and applies vinyl advertising labeling wraps on vehicles. Currently, our business profits have been better than expected. Since our product is in high demand we are contemplating on expanding of our business in another city. Our home location is in Albuquerque, New Mexico and we are looking at many other cities for our expansion. The most favorable area that peaked our interest is Dallas, Texas.

...Mr. Ernesto Saborio Business 600 Final Paper August 27, 2012 By Keith Alston In today's workplace, communication is the key of every aspect of your job. With the increased globalization of workplace settings across most industries, today’s managers need a more precise understanding of intercultural communication in an effective management strategy. It is important that managers proactively engage in communication skills assessment and make necessary adjustments in order to address the current needs of today’s increasingly diverse workforce. When assessing intercultural communication, it is important to have a plan in place and keep these points in mind like knowing your team and doing your homework. While getting to know as many cultures as possible is a noble endeavor, in reality managers are strapped for time like everyone else. If your functional outsourcing group is diverse, or you have recently hired a new group of employees, or your company is reaching out to more overseas investors, then you have a great opportunity to develop more effective intercultural communication skills that will be most applicable to your team. Just as in any group, there are differences among individuals, and understanding general distinctions within a cultural group is important. Do your homework without singling out individuals. One major area is religious beliefs. After honing their own intercultural skills, managers should be able to lead effective training sessions......

...Daycare: Good or Bad? Hope Plummer English 122: English Composition 2 Instructor Larry Holden 3/02/2014 Daycare: Good or Bad? In this day and age, more women are becoming more active in the workplace which forces them to leave their children in a daycare atmosphere. The first few years of a child's life are detrimental to their development. In general, traditional daycare settings do not have a reputation for being emotionally healthy, so we must ask ourselves the question, is public daycare worth the risks? In this paper, I will provide compelling examples as to why I believe public daycare settings are unhealthy for positive cognitive and social development as well as my suggestions for what type of childcare would be healthier. One of the reasons parents opt to keep their children out of daycare is due to the amount of germs their child will get exposed to on a daily basis. 'Children in day care centers are more likely to catch an infection than kids who do not attend day care. Children who go to day care are often around other kids who may be sick.'(Kaneshiro, 2012) This is partly due to the high number of children in each classroom and caregivers not using the proper sanitary actions necessary with high volumes of children. There are simply too many children to look after. This leaves many classes understaffed. I personally worked at a daycare for a decent amount of time and I can vouch for that fact firsthand.......

...U.S. adults are obese. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported an “epidemic” of 72 million obese people in the United States in 2006. A 2011 study by the Trust for America’s Health and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, reported that obesity rates rose in 16 states within a year, with no state showing a decline. The estimated annual medical cost of obesity in the U.S. was $147 billion in 2008. The medical costs for people who are obese were $1,429 higher than those of normal weight. Lack of Willpower? Is obesity a lack of willpower? Is it related to our lifestyle choices of sedentary work, excessive television and video games? Choosing an unhealthy environment of being inactive and unhealthy eating? In 1967, research conducted at the University of Michigan suggested that the ability to lose weight wasn’t rooted in willpower at all but instead, in simple behavioral changes. Experts say that believing that willpower is at work only serves to make you feel less in control of your eating habits. Categorizing obesity as a disease would not address the underlying problems causing it such as poverty, the commonness of unhealthy processed foods, lack of public policies encouraging exercise and other environmental factors. Studies show what many obese patients know: physicians have negative attitudes and stereotypes about obese patients, viewing them as non-compliant, lazy, lacking in self-control, and even unintelligent. One study found that doctors......

...EN1320 Final Research Paper | The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and keep it. (Gen. 2:15, Revised Standard Version) In the beginning man was given the responsibility for keeping the earth. As good care takers it’s our responsibility to ensure the survival of all the animals and plants on earth. The earth is made up of elements, and within those elements are the countless numbers of species, each interwoven within the fabric of life itself. The effects of man on the environment have a negative reaction to all other species. Studies of earth’s history show mass extinction events. Scientist project we are living within such an event. The world is heading toward imminent mass species extinction. A healthy earth may not be possible due to the irreversible effect brought on my man. Endangered plants and animals face the risk of becoming extinct, disappearing completely from the world of living things. Human survival has had such an effect on all other species around them. Hunting, fishing, or gathering may have reduced the populations of many species to levels too low for the species to survive, especially when there is a profitable trade in goods made from wild animals and plants. (Current Issues, 2010) The Earth should be big enough of all plants and animals to thrive but according to the American Association for the Advancement of Science, humans are using about half the available land. (Wilson, 2012) The American......

Every year approximately 9 million people are released from prison in the U.S. (Center, T. N.-e., 2012) and due to lack of education and job skills, 52% of those 9 million returns within three years. According to Yamatani & Spjeldnes (2011), “The United States represents only 5 percent of the world’s population, but we hold 25 percent of the world's inmates in our prisons and jails (Pew Center on the States, 2008). We have more people behind bars in total numbers and per capita than any other industrialized country--2.3 million out of nearly 300 million (750 per 100,000 residents)--one out of 100 U.S.” This essay will show the difference between recidivism and rehabilitation as well as showing how education and job training can effectively reduce the rate of recidivism in the U.S. What is recidivism you ask? The Merriam-Webster defines recidivism as a tendency to relapse into a previous condition or mode of behavior (Merriam-Webster Dictionary,......

...of fluid mechanics there are two major types associated with the subject, which is the study of fluid statics the study of fluids at rest within a system, and the study of Fluid Dynamics which is the study of fluids that are in motion within a system. The laws of both mass and energy conservation that we previously derived for the fluids allow us to analyze a wide variety of both natural and technological phenomena. When attempting to figure out the answers mathematically, we would usually use both the continuity equation and Bernoulli’s equation as long as you consider the values of the appropriate constants at the flow points at the end of the pipes. Fluid mechanics can be applied to many more applications than what is found within this paper. Some of those include, but are not limited to, Flight and lift of helicopters and planes specifically focusing on the wings and the wind flowing around them. Viscosity and turbulence is another application to the learning of fluid mechanics. Although we have only scratched the surface of fluid mechanics I believe that the basis for conceptual knowledge of this subject can be well understood. ...Final Research Paper Tanya ANT 101: Introduction to Cultural Anthropology   Final Research Paper Different societies exist throughout the world and within these societies each society develops culture that works best for them. Within these cultures they pass all their acquired knowledge and traditions down from generation to generation. Nevertheless, each culture has their own way of life, own marriage beliefs, their own values and feelings on life and religious beliefs. Cultures tend to have their own way to run their government, and ways to keep their economy up to their standards. Most importantly in cultural anthropology it is imperative to value culture relativism. This is the view in which no culture is superior to other culture when comparing systems such as morality, law, and politics (Crapo, 2013). Each culture beliefs are equally valid depending on the environment. In this paper, I will delve into a piece of my culture from an outsider’s standpoint, an etic perspective, and furthermore, I will examine another culture from an emic perspective on their traditional practices. Not only will I examine gender roles and equality in the United States workforce from an etic perspective, but also polygyny in Sub-Saharan Africa from an emic perspective. Throughout American history the number of women in the United States workforce has been increasing even though American society has always claimed men to be the breadwinners and heads of the house. According to...

...population, but it does not keep animal populations at a continually reduced level. Immediately after a hunt, the remaining animals flourish because less competition for food exist, allowing the remaining animals to live healthier lives, and resulting in a higher reproductive rate. What hunters don’t seem to realize is that they are contributing to the extinction of animals all around the world. Overhunting can lead to dangerously low population levels, which can cause a species to disappear from a region. Recent studies in Tasmania by a team of researchers from the UK and Australia show that ancient species, like the giant kangaroo and marsupial rhino and leopard, were still inhabiting the island when humans first arrived, leading the research team to conclude that the animals' extinction was due to human hunting, not the Ice Age. “Scientists find evidence that human involvement, not mere nature, led to Ice Age extinctions”(Durfee, 20008). Most hunting occurs on private land, where laws that protect wildlife are often inapplicable or difficult to enforce. Amazingly there are private lands that are set up for-profit, where hunters can pay to kill native and exotic species in "canned hunts." These animals may be native to the area, raised elsewhere and brought in, or purchased from individuals who are trafficking in unwanted or surplus animals from zoos and circuses. They are hunted and killed for the sole purpose of providing hunters with a trophy. Canned hunts are......
