...Day three would be more hands on, we would have the store manager come in, welcome them again, and then get them pepped about the company. Example would be Wal-Mart and Lowe’s where they have a company cheer. Where they spell out the name loudly and excitedly, that really gets the new employee’s excited to be working for the company! Then send the new employee to the floor to shadow a current employee in what they are doing. Day one- Company Policy overview open to page one and each person read aloud a paragraph at a time. This is break up the monotony of one person reading, and gives each person a chance to feel more comfortable in the room with their new co workers. This is a somewhat boring way to read through the company policy handbook, but this ensures that each person has read or had this read to them. After that portion is completed we would move onto procedures. This is very important for each employee new and old to know what the company procedures are. When working in the retail area, it is at the utmost importance to follow proper procedures. Example would be our personal check policy; it is a requirement that we have a driver’s license in order to accept a personal check or holding product is another one, we can only hold product if they have put down some money on it (similar to lay a way) otherwise we are not able to hold that......

...problem is that weather is variable and unpredictable. Extreme heat, cold, fog, and snow can shut down airports and cancel flights (which costs money). Weather is also the secondlargest cause of flight accidents. Fuel Cost - on average, fuel can make up 14-16% of an airline's total costs, although efficiency among different carriers can vary widely. Short haul airlines typically get lower fuel efficiency because take-offs and landings consume high amounts of jet fuel. Labor - it is estimated that 40% of an airline's expenses are used to pay pilots, flight attendants, baggage handlers, dispatchers, customer service, and others.
