Literature Theory Comparison For many years, school and district leadership has assigned primarily to a single person such as the principal or the superintendent. The principal and superintendent’s responsibilities are keeping order in the school, managing school schedules, monitoring the budget, making sure buses run on time, etc… In addition principals and superintendents job are to develop and keep the school’s or district’s vision, articulate and model core values, ensure the inclusion of all voices, develop collaborative learning experiences. The purpose of this paper is to compare and contrast various types of leadership models and theories and evaluate the effectiveness of each type of leadership model. Neuman and Simmons state that in the most effective schools, every member of the education community has the responsibility and the authority to take appropriate leader roles (2000, p. 9). The definition of a leader now encompasses teachers, staff members, parents, and members of the entire education community. “Over the course of the past five years, the Anneberg Institute has worked with thousands of practitioners from hundreds of schools across the country, representing a broad cross-section of schools in terms of size, student population, location, and levels of achievement. Less than successful outcomes of many reform programs can be attributed (at least in part) to a lack of appropriate leadership focused on student achievement” (Neuman, M. and Simmons, W., 2000, p. 9). They are novel, drama, poetry, biography, non-fictional prose, essay, epic and short story. All these types of literature have some elements. To complete a piece of literature, a writer, dramatist or a novelist must use certain elements like plot, character, theme, etc. to capture the interest of their readers. When reading literature, there are themes which are interpreted within the literary piece. Themes reflect innocence, experience, life, death, reality, fate, madness, sanity, love, society, individual, etc. Such themes present a point of a lesson learned or the particular meaning the piece was intended to communicate. The theme is usually the intended understanding of the literary piece. The theme is different from the subject or stated topic. The theme within a literary can be stated or implied as a reference to the topic or subject written about within the work that is being read. What is often mistakenly done is, the theme is misinterpreted as the subject in the literary piece, when it should be understood to be an opinion or statement of expression. ...Malaysia. Abstract Online shopping is the process of buying goods and services from merchants who sell on the internet. Shoppers can visit web stores from the comfort of their homes and shop as they sit in front of the computer. The main purpose of this study is to determine the factors influencing consumers’ attitude towards e-commerce purchases through online shopping. The study also investigate how socio-demographic (age, income and occupation), pattern of online buying (types of goods, e-commerce experience and hours use on internet) and purchase perception (product perception, customers’ service and consumers’ risk) affect consumers’ attitude towards online shopping. Convenience sampling method was conducted in this study and the sample comparison of 100 respondents in Taman Tawas Permai, Ipoh. Data were collected via self-administered questionnaire which contains 15 questions in Part A (respondents’ background and their pattern of using internet and online buying), 34 questions in Part B (attitude towards online purchase) and 36 questions in Part C (purchase perception towards online shopping). One-way ANOVA were used to assess the differences between independent variable such as age, income, occupation and pattern of online buying (type of goods) and dependant variable such as attitude towards online shopping. I have also known that things that are produced out of creative imagination can be referred as literary works which are the ones that comprise literature. Comparison Between Romantic Music and Literature (Schumann and E.T.A. Hoffmann)

...One can arguably say that the worlds of the German Romantic composer Robert Schumann (1810-1856) and the German Romantic writer E.T.A. Hoffmann (1776-1822) can seamlessly collide in their finest works. Schumann and Hoffmann were linked in many aspects of life including their shared passion for both literature and music, and in their eccentric and slight bipolar personalities - The similarities in their Romantic views as well as the way they expressed themselves through art form was uncanny. This is found to be most evident in Schumann’s piano song cycle, Kreisleriana, and in E.T.A. Hoffmann’s novel, Life and Opinions of the Tomcat Murr for numerous reasons. Perhaps the biggest and most notable similarity between the two major works is the dualism and constant abrupt change in the literature and music. Hoffmann, in his novel, constantly switches back and forth from the section narrated by the Tomcat, Murr (“Murr continues” – m.c.) and the section that contains the flashbacks of Kapellmeister Johannes Kreisler’s life (“scrap paper” - s.p.). Hoffmann enjoyed jumping back and forth from the two contrasting sections without any preparation and usually always abruptly switched in mid-sentence of the narrations. However, the dualism and sudden contrast isn’t only found in the structure of Hoffmann’s writing but also through the characteristics of the main character, Johannes Kreisler. Emily Grierson and Porphyria’s lovers insanity are brought on from different emotional states. Insanity or mental illness is defined as “any disease or condition affecting the brain that influences the way a person thinks, feels, behaves, and/or relates to others and to his or her surroundings” (Amal Chakraburtty). Comparison of Gothic Literature

...In the gothic genre (whether in the form of music, art, or literature) a flare for drama seems to be a common thread throughout. In the book the Castle of Otranto, the protagonist Theodore is a classic prince charming. He is always willing to protect a damsel in distress and there is no shortage of those in this story. Theodore is a very passionate man and falls so deeply in love with Matilda that he is willing to risk his life in order to protect and be with her. Likewise, the man from the song “The Unquiet Grave" by Faith and the Muse is also deeply passionate about the woman he loves. Both The Castle of Otranto and “The Unquiet Grave” have elements of supernatural happenings which enhance the drama of the plot. In this essay, I will describe the similarities of the two main characters from each piece of writing being reviewed, as well as which method of coping with grief I found most satisfactory. Theodore and the young man in the song appear to have many similar personality and behaviour traits. Theodore is considered very valiant and noble by many of the characters in the book, particularly the women. An example of this adoration for Theodore comes from a statement that Bianca (Matilda’s handmade) makes to Manfred stating that “he is as comely a youth as ever trod on christian ground: we are all in love with him: there is not a soul in the castle but would be rejoiced to have him for our prince” (Walpole, 1764, p. 122).
