The Image Of Leadership[1]

In my opinion, this picture really describes leadership. This image represents a group of people holding puzzle pieces in order to complete the puzzle together.

Indeed, the first thing is that leadership is all about bringing an output together. When you are a leader you lead people to a specific goal. In this picture, the output is the image the puzzle must represent. Indeed, in the business world it means that you need to reach the objectives. The role of the leader is to make sure the team achieves its objectives. In some case, the leader can also be the one who is setting the objectives up. In those cases, the leader has to know the capacity of his team and how he can stretch his team capacity. But all is about achieving objectives.

The role of the leader in order to reach this goal is to coordinate and take the best part of each member of his team in order to achieve the objectives. In this image, the leader is the one who decided where to put the puzzle pieces and how to do it and use the skills and abilities of each team member to complete the puzzle. In the business world, you need to bring the best of each of your team member. Indeed, in combining the different skills and personalities of each of the team member, we are able to be more performant than if we were just adding our individual work. The role of the leader is to detect and gather people that can efficiently work together, to create an atmosphere that enhances positive energy and to drive the way his team will achieve its objectives according to each expertise. It is the main actor in the team that will allow synergies between the team members. The leader has not only to lead his team to an objective but also is responsible of the way his team will achieve its objectives. It is a question of result and means.

And finally, the leader of a team is…...

...Geoinformatics has been described as "the science and technology dealing with the structure and character of spatial information, its capture, its classification and qualification, its storage, processing, portrayal and dissemination, including the infrastructure necessary to secure optimal use of this information"[1] or "the art, science or technology dealing with the acquisition, storage, processing production, presentation and dissemination of geoinformation".[2] Geomatics is a similarly used term which encompasses geoinformatics, but geomatics focuses more so on surveying. Geoinformatics has at its core the technologies supporting the processes of acquiring, analyzing and visualizing spatial data. Both geomatics and geoinformatics include and rely heavily upon the theory and practical implications of geodesy. Geography and earth science increasingly rely on digital spatial data acquired from remotely sensed images analyzed by geographical information systems (GIS) and visualized on paper or the computer screen.[3] Geoinformatics combines geospatial analysis and modeling, development of geospatial databases, information systems design, human-computer interaction and both wired and wireless networking technologies. ...Organizational Structures Amber Tolson June 06, 2014 Management Theory and Practice Joseph GERWENS Amber Tolson Professor Joseph GERWENS Management Theory and Practice Organizational Structure Without organizational structure, staff members can run into difficulty with knowing who to report to in the business if any situations come up. In a business there needs to be structure so employees can know who they need to report to if they should need to communicate something that is of a concern. Organizational structure is very important because it improves the operations in the business. By a business developing a form of organizational structure different departments can be able to perform their own job functions and focus their time on their own job tasks. With a strong organizational structure employees can then be recognized with promotions for their hard work, dedication, and good work ethic. `To begin with, the crown plaza hotel is composed of many different kinds of areas of structures. (According to Bateman 2011) “Differentiation means that the organization is composed of many different kinds or tasks.” Inside of the Crowne Plaza hotel jobs and departments are grouped, specialized, and separated into their own job category. Management Planning Presentation

...in Leading and Control Management is the part of an organization that is in control of leading and controlling the organizations employees. Management has to deal with diversity in the workplace in different ways such as his or her employee’s gender, race, religion, education, ethnic background, and sexual orientations. Whether a manager can deal with the diversity in the workplace can make or break him or her. A big part of leading is the managers’ capability to train their workers. An example is a large organization like Wal-Mart. Employees at Wal-Mart have particular jobs they are responsible for. Management must be qualified to train the employees in the job they have been hired to do. Without the correct training the employees may not be able to do the job correctly, which can cause the store to lose sales which can affect the company in a whole. Management also has to decide which employee is capable of doing a job. Some jobs call for heavy lifting, many cases education background, and ethnic background. Some employees because of religious backgrounds will not work on Sundays and some holidays. In these cases management has to work with these diversities and locate the right employee for the right job and schedule hours to accommodate religious beliefs. Management must also be qualified to control the workplace. If the manager does not have enough control, the workers may lose respect for him or her and not give one hundred percent. If management is too controlling......
