My Basic Personality
By: Kevin R. DuPlanti II

Below I’ve compiled a table of my Personality Traits, and corresponding score. The table directly relates to the Basic Personality test from the Self-Assessment Library. Personality Trait | Score | Extraversion | 13 | Agreeableness | 14 | Conscientiousness | 10 | Emotional Stability | 10 | Openness to Experience | 9 |

Of the skills and abilities listed in the above table, I would like to focus on Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability. The exact definition of Conscientiousness and Emotional Stability is as follows: con·sci·en·tious [kon-shee-en-shuhs, kon-see-] adjective
1. Controlled by or done according to one's inner sense of what is right; governed by conscience; principled: a conscientious judge.
2. Careful and painstaking; particular; meticulous; scrupulous: conscientious application to the work at hand.

Emotional stability
Emotional stability distinguishes individuals who are laid back and relaxed from those who are easily stressed and in touch with their emotions.

With those definitions now fresh in your mind I’d like to discuss how I hope to develop those skills. I believe that these two traits are synonymous, in that, to be emotionally stable; it requires some sense of conscientiousness about your daily life. On a daily basis I’m challenged to exhibit both of these traits, in work, home, and school life. By focusing on my work at hand, and not being distracted by my co-workers, I anticipate working towards these goals. At home, trying to do my homework is often a challenge. With the distraction of electronics, as well as the distraction of family; it is often difficult to stay focused on my work. By conscientiously keeping myself focused on my end goal, I’m able to get through my homework. ‘Providing emotional stability through relaxation training’, (by M.…...

My Personality Traits

...I have a wide variety of personality traits that are good, bad or neutral. The good ones I have are being creative, having an open mind and being sociable. My bad ones are being vengeful, sometimes having a bad temper, impatient and being forgetful. The neutral ones that are both good and bad are my ability to be manipulative, my concentration and my empathy. These are some of my most common traits that are most prevalent in me most of the time. My first good trait is my Creativity. I am able to push it to the max when needed or suppress it as needed. The origins of my creativity come from different sources. The media such as TV and internet are major sources for me as many of my ideas are based on what is in the media. A smaller source for me was also reading books as I also gain ideas from there but it’s to a lesser degree. I am personally responsible for keeping up my own creativity and no one else does so. I must keep it up by looking for new concepts and ideas constantly. I believe that the theory of Functionalism applies in this case. My belief is that in order to survive, the human race must make a wide mix of people who are best-suited roles. Some people are hunters, caretakers and I believe I fall into the intelligent section. This is because I would not be a good hunter or care taker but I can help devise better plans for the other roles. That is how my first good trait is creativity. Personalities of the Duke in “My Last Duchess”

...Personalities of the Duke in “My Last Duchess” “My Last Duchess" is a poem by Robert Browning, frequently anthologised as an example of the dramatic monologue. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Last_Duchess) In this poem, Browning establishes the personalities of its speaker—the duke indirectly but distinctly through his monologue alone. By reading the monologue, readers can find a duke who is apparently gentle and cultivated, but actually imperious and selfish. This essay is an analysis of the duke’s personalities and how does the poet establish them through monologue. At the beginning and the end of the poem, the duke shows the guest two of his valuable collections. The first one is the portrait of his wife painted by Fra Pandolf. The second one is the Neptune cast by Claus. By showing these valuable masterpieces, the duke wants to prove his love and pursuit of art and to show his good taste. He seems himself as a noble and cultivated gentleman. However, he shows his real personalities such as arrogance, jealousy, hypocrisy and selfishness through his monologue. The poem opens with the duke showing the painting of his dead wife to his guest. The duke calls “that piece a wonder” for his wife looks “as if she were alive”. And he specificly mentions that this painting was done by Fra Pandolf who is an imaginary famous painter. But he immediately says that he mentioned Fra Pandolf “by design” lest his guest fail to appreciate the significance of this painting. At the......

Following with actually theories and theorist’s view I perceive to be similar to mine; along with support as to why. In closing it will be indicated which theory I sense most differs from my own. Section 1 Personality is something we all carry, little things that define us and make us unique. It can also be viewed how as well as why people are the way they are. Qualities we possess, show, and analyze to fully understand what in addition to who we are up against. These traits can allow us to be very open with individuals, in an environment, or situation. On the other hand they can also brand one to be very cryptic, the type that only distribute so much of them to be noticed but still have so much to them underneath their disguise. My Personality Theory

...Stevie Homestead Professor Walter Andrews Psychotherapy 08 September 2014 My Theory of Personality I would approach personality from a behavioural point of view. Behaviour is influenced to a great deal by the environment that a person grows in. Many a times we are a product of what we interact with and it is this what shapes our character to attain that complete being with a particular trait that people are able to identify. The behaviours that one may pick in his/her process of growth may be influenced by various factors including such as culture, and family values among many others. The world provides a platform for people to exercise self-realization. We are all born into this world without any prior knowledge of how our encounter with the world will turn out to be. A person continues to gain age-wise, and the unconscious uniqueness hidden inside starts to sprout (Vernon par2). One comes to the realization that there is a need to be unique and pursue self interests. Each of us has goals to achieve and aspirations to live for and this forms the basis for one’s desire to pursue his/her uniqueness. Sometimes it comes out of necessity when one realizes that working as a group shields the ability to be outstanding. As people grow up, different factors come into play. We are exposed to different cultures, different neighbourhoods, different peers as well as different people to look up to (Vernon par7). This kind of set up where we grow up contributes a lot in the making......

...receive on the sheet – it is recommended that you read this document and refer to it on the first few occasions you use the sheet to review your work. General advice on self-assessment q Why do I need to self-assess my work? Thinking critically about what you have done in coursework assignments is always useful – you may do it already to a certain extent. The main benefit of reviewing your work, both while you are writing it and after it is finished, is that it helps you to identify your own particular strengths and weaknesses in doing assignments of this kind. Having this awareness, together with the feedback that you get from the tutor, allows you to develop your understanding of what the task requires and to plan accordingly for the next essay that you write. It helps if you have some idea of how to go about evaluating your own work. The self-assessment sheet provides you with a ready-made structure for doing this: it tells you which aspects of your assignment to assess, and gives some idea of standards of work (i.e. what counts as strong and weak performance). By listing a number of aspects of the essay which both you and the tutor are required to evaluate, it also gives you some idea of the basis on which the tutor marks your work. q When should I assess my own work? It should not just be something you do a couple of minutes before you hand in the essay! You need to spend a bit of time completing the self-assessment form for the process of evaluating your own......

We can take in information by our senses, and by our intuition. We can make decisions based on objective logic or subjective feelings. Jung believes that the dominant function is the function mostly used by individuals. According to BSM Consulting Incorporation (2011), “Jung felt that the dominant function was so important, that it overshadowed all of the other functions in terms of defining personality type” (para. 2). The eight personality types that Jung defined are: Extroverted sensing introverted sensing, extroverted intuition, introverted intuition, extroverted thinking, introverted thinking, extroverted feeling, and introverted feeling (BSM Consulting Incorporation, 2011). What Makes Up the Basics of Personality Theory

...Makes up the Basics of Personality Theory? Linda Wray Liberty University Abstract Since the 1960’s personality theories has emerged as a major field of specialization. There have been many studies completed outlined by literature on a variety of theories of personality. The importance of individual differences and distinctiveness of the individual are the most frequently studied of personality theories. Personality refers to individual differences in characteristic patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. The study of personality focuses on two comprehensive areas: One understands individual differences in particular personality characteristics, such as sociability or irritability. The other understands how the various parts of a person come together as a whole. Some scientists think that your personality is based on genetic predispositions or nature. Other scientists think the way you act stems from life experience, the way you were taught, and the environment in which you grew up or nurture. Personality can best be described as personal qualities of an individual. There are no two people have the same personality, however, all the different personalities in the world can be characterized into four main theories. The four psychologists that thought up the four theories are Sigmund Freud, Jean Piaget, Erik Erikson, and Abraham Maslow. Each man based his theory on a different part of a person’s personality development. The study of personality traits is......
