Contents Introduction 2 Alternative Dispute Resolution 2 Strengths and Weaknesses of the Group 2 Strengths and weaknesses of my presentation 4 How weaknesses can be overcome in the future 4 Teamwork and Oral Presentation 5 References 7

In this report I will be reflecting on the Oral Group Presentation that my group gave in week 9. First I will briefly outline the law that we chose to present on, which was Alternative Dispute Resolution. Then I will be analysing the strengths and weaknesses of the group and the strengths and weaknesses of my presentation. Furthermore I will be stating what could be done to overcome these weaknesses realised in the future. And finally what I have learnt about team work and oral presentation.
Alternative Dispute Resolution
Alternative Dispute resolution is an alternative method of resolving dispute and conflicts rather than going to court. It involves third party intervention such as an arbitrator or mediator (Advice Guide, 2013) who is an expert in their perspective field. Their expertises target the heart of the dispute with an aim to bring about an amicable resolution. It is quicker, Cheaper, more flexible and more informal than Court trials, without any of the complicated rules Associated with trials. This process can therefore be less intimidating and less stressful to the parties.
Strengths and Weaknesses of the Group
When we were given the oral presentation assignment it was compulsory that we worked in groups of 4 or 5. As a result it was very important that everyone got to know each so that we could get familiar with others and choose who was going be in our groups. At first most people wanted to from their groups with friends. But ultimately weather you got to be with your friends or not you were still face with the problem of…...

...Service Design and Transformation Reflective Report Introduction: According to Boud et al (1985), reflection refers to an opportunity to recall an experience, dwell upon it and evaluate it. As part of the assessment for ‘Service Design and Transformation module’, my group and I had to choose a service that needed change and help to redesign the service by applying approaches such as; Toyota Production System(TPS) , Plan Do Study Act(PDSA), Spaghetti and Value Stream mapping, as we have being taught in lectures. Aims and Objectives: This essay aims to give a reflective account of my contribution to the presentation; how my group and I planned the presentation and how well I worked with the group. All these will be analysed by adopting the Sibbert model. In addition I will briefly discuss the evidence and academic arguments used for my part of the group work, using relevant references. Also, a detailed account of how the formative and summative presentation went will be discussed, and the lessons I learnt through the whole process. Presentation Topic and Reasons for the chosen Topic: In my group we researched a range of topic before narrowing it down to antenatal care. According to Patients Opinion (2010), a patient narrated their experience in an antenatal clinic saying ‘’the waiting times for Antenatal Clinic are horrendous; I waited for my 9:30 appointment for 3 hours. Although the midwife I saw was kind and courteous and apologised’’. Based on all the evidence......

...experiences? For me am doing reflection on action, because reflection on action take the place after the event has taken place. It’s help me to think and developing of experience and its help me to think about what I would ideally do if the situation happened again. Models of Reflection Learning through reflection is more effective if there is an understanding of frameworks that encourage a structural process to guide the act of reflection. There are different models have been developed which may suit individuals or particular situations. It is important that you choose the framework that you feel most comfortable with and which helps you in learning from your experiences. Gibbs' Reflective Cycle (1988) is viewed as straightforward and provides a cyclical Framework to help guide reflective practice. Personal and managerial effectiveness Two years back I was working with a major group, I was working seven days nine hours per week, I was happy and comfortable to work with them, I felt that am achieving my goal specially that they were respected and appreciated my work. The incident occurred when I applied for the master ,I found that I can’t manage between work and study, specially that I was a full time student ,my classes are five days a week from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm and my working hours were till 8 pm Daily. At the same time I had other offer from a small company it seems to me it was a good offer, because working hours were from 9am to 5pm five days a week......

...Reflective Report From the very beginning of this semester we are being taught how to write a proper project for something. So from the first class we have been shown that to write a proper project we will have to follow certain criterion. This criterion will make the project look proper or perfect. With the support of our honorable course instructor we were learning the steps of writing a project. From the very beginning we have been told that we will have to make a project during the semester within a group. There will be five members in each group. So we made our group. The most important thing is that we had been told we will have to complete the project within five lac. The money can be less than five lac but can not exceed five lac. So we started our project called awareness campaign on organic farming. In the first class we have been taught the initiation steps or stages of a project of a project. The first initiation was goal. A goal or objective is something which we want to achieve in the future. Goal is a future stick matter. We set goals to achieve in the future. As our project was awareness campaign. We have set our goal like making people aware about organic crops and organic seeds. So our project goal is to make people aware through campaigning. The second phase is brain storming. Brain storming is something that will help us to get information within our group members. From doing brain storming we have got many kinds of information from ourselves.......

...Reflective report Running the meeting: We as a team are well organized, we arrange group meetings daily and we discuss about the plans and give importance to the views of individual tem member. Our client is seeking a team which can access the luxury market in china and create a report and should provide an idea about the luxury market and the areas of the market where maximum profit is attained. So I and my team mates prepared a strategic plan to analyse the luxury market. I collected information from the different sources and statistically prepared an overview of the luxury industry. I had also taken in account the facts and figures of the luxury industry from the past to present and produced a detailed report consisting of figures and labelled diagrams which can be easily incorporate into our presentation. So we wanted to include all these information in the form of presentation which will be included as a part of client meeting. After the presentation in the client meeting we came forward with some resolutions which should be implemented in our next meeting so that the client gets maximum satisfaction by our work done. During the presentation we found some of our clients find difficulty in analysing the market from a local point of view to international market. So we taught of including a comparison chart with facts and figures stating the difference between the local luxury markets to international luxury market. So that the client can easily accesses the market......

Reflective Report Leadership- Leading Change in Theory

...Leading Change in Theory Reflective essay Reflective writing is a strategy where we as students recollect what we have learnt and the process we have undertaken in learning and use this to reflect on how we have educated ourselves. We describe our experiences in the process of learning along with bringing out the emotions we felt at the particular time, also we may consolidate prior knowledge along with the present in order to fully understand and grasp the experience. Reflective writing allows us to understand the entire process of learning. My group formerly consisted of six members and finally ended up with only three, this was due to one member dropping out of this module and another two being unable to work with the final group as they felt our language and intellect wasn’t up to the mark. This made me feel extremely let down and somewhat anxious as to how we would function as a group of only three individuals; however our progress greatly improved since we were a smaller and more cohesive group. Our group had a more democratic form of leadership and we shared a sense of collective identity which greatly benefited us in completing our task. Our group values focused greatly on openness, respect, contribution and happiness. Each member contributed almost equally to the overall process and the all three of us were willing to listen and understand each other’s opinions. We divided the work amongst ourselves and decided we would complete it and share it with each other......

Personal Development and Planning Reflective Report Assignment

...Anthony Reid Business Management Personal Development and Planning Reflective report assignment During my first year of studying in the Cardiff Metropolitan University I have found myself using a number of skills that I was previously taught in my school and now this set of skills is been all brought up together and represented in a more specific and detailed view throughout the PDP course. PDP e-lessons were a good source, which I have used when I have found my self stuck with the referencing and the way to put the sources list in the end of my work the right way. Academic skills Note making is one of the skills that I have applied fully and at which I feel strong. The basics of making the effective notes from printed sources is a very important skill that I have learned and applied quite a lot during the study year. It helped me to quickly take down important notes mostly in a format of bullet points during lectures and seminars, while going through photocopies and piles of hand outs that where given out by lecturers at seminars. By knowing that the notes have to be effective; i.e. focused, organized, targeted and the most important for me – useful, forced me to improve myself in organizing the notes for each subject in a different note taking book as well as a separate electronic folder in a notes app on my iPad, which is synced to Google drive. Another very helpful technic that I have been using since the first time I have started learning languages is......

It relates to personal experiences encountered and is a good exercise that sharpens our skills in critical thinking. It refers to all the activities that provide an individual with the opportunity to self-examine, assess and question ones opinions, values, beliefs and make sense of their experiences. Boud et al (1985) highlighted that reflection spurs us to become conscious of our intellect which relates to our particular learning experiences. We as human beings are daily reflecting on our feelings and emotions about particular events in our lives as they happen. By reflecting, I will look back at the past events which happened in working as a team to develop and make a presentation about hand held hair dryers. This will show my learning experience throughout the whole process and my feelings and experiences. Learning through reflection is an......

The discussion then incorporates theories of communication, leadership and organisational structure to compare and critically analyse the results of the simulations and determine the overall success of the team. The report will also analyse the changes and evaluate the impact past experience had on the decisions and results on the second simulation. Further the processes of interaction will be evaluated to determine its effectiveness, partially attributing our failure in the first simulation to poor communication and preparation. ...Reflective report Introduction: Recollection of experiences: While briefing on the reflective assignment we planned of making a group and discuss about our own experiences. Human resource development is the basic conceptual model of learning through different stages. Situation while preparing for presentation explains all about the team work where we all gather information of the task. While we have decided that we will do a group presentation. Some of the classmates were absent and couldn’t attend class. We were able to inform to most of them regarding presentation and created a group on social media so that it would be easy to communicate and discuss with each other. We shared our ideas and prepared slides for introduction. Personal experiences: There were too many issues at my work place. Many of my colleques along with me had a issue of salary where the proper action was not taken and there was a situation where many people left that job as a part of hrd I have initiated to manager and had a group discussion with all employers the issue was been able to be solved. ...A Reflection on : A Business Negotiation between Riggs and Vericomp By Rudolf Kennedy Khyriem [17937261] Business Marketing M.Enjeti This paper is going to inspect my own behaviour and present awareness, and demonstrates a reflection of my individual part with this experience. Before I emphasise or talk about my individual performance, I would like to explain and summarise the whole experience and situation. Before the actual preparation I had learnt that there are three stages of negotiation. 1) Build up criteria. Figure out precisely what the other team anticipate that we will do. Figure out what they need. Tell the other team what we are willing to do. 2) Acquire information about the other team. Never assume. 3) Reach a tradeoff that is satisfactory to both parties. Before the Negotiation we had a thorough plan to discuss and analyse the deal between Riggs and Vericomp. We did our research and prepare for the coming negotiation. Research and preparation is crucial in this matter as without proper preparation either team could lose track of the goal and end up making bad decisions or deals that might jeopardise the negotiation. This is a Negotiation not a contest where the best team wins. We were hoping to make a deal with Vericomp in such a manner that both parties come out of this deal satisfied. We were not going to swindle the other party over neither were we prepared to lose our goals. In order to prepare and be ready for any outcomes, I developed a......

...Reflective report After leaving college I had an idea that I wanted to study something in the healthcare sector. I studied medical science at college and one of my modules was biomedical science, I found that module to be very interesting and decided I want to further my knowledge. I chose biomedical science at university and have no regrets. However at the beginning I did not know what I wanted to specialise in and what path I was going to take. It all changed once I begin studying the introduction to biomedical science, as it made me understand more about each profession and how everyday life working in a specific area of biology is like. Introduction to biomedical science has most definitely changed my mind on what career I want to do once I graduate. It has given me a wide outlook of the many different directions I can go with this course and explained to me what each of them contains. Overall this module has impacted my perspective of biomedical science. By doing this course I now am confident in what profession I want to specialise. It has taught me the importance of microbiology and how much of a big role it plays in healthcare and that without the study of microbes there would be no way for cures to be found of certain infections/diseases. From doing the patient case studies it has really taught me how scientists who specialize in different biology subjects come together to diagnose a patient. For example this showed me how a haematologist, microbiologist and......

...Different Types of Schools for Children in the U.K. The topic I chose for presentation is different types of schools for children. Though I try to highlight the different schools available for children, my prime focus is on primary education. Primary education is the foundation of a child’s development, both academically and socially. Thus, it is really important that a child is given proper primary education, without any impediment. After a lot of speculation and consultation I chose to write this essay because while explaining the different types of schools and levels of education in U.K. and showing how the primary level prepares the child for future studies, it also indulges in the merits and demerits of selective education in the lives of students. For this purpose of writing on primary education, I searched a lot of websites and newspaper articles. There were some sites on the grammar schools and some on comprehensive education, while other sites had almost all the information I wanted to cover in this journal. There were also some reliable magazines and newspaper articles which helped me complete this work. Primary education in U.K. is the first level of compulsory education for child. The children are put under the primary education at the age of five and they generally pass out of this level at the age of eleven. Primary education usually comes after the children have completed their basic academic level, i.e. the nursery level or the pre-school level. The......
