Release the Green!
Marijuana is a very noticeable and scandalous issue in the world today. Although many malicious entitlements have been said about cannabis in current history, the certainties are slowly starting to reappear. Unluckily, these facts are being very heavily criticized because of the clichéd view of what people see as the classic “weed smoker.” This twisted observation of a lazy and unenthusiastic America is the consequence of over seventy years of information and deception spread by private interests who needed weed illegal for their own particular gains. As just a regular citizen and someone that doesn’t even use marijuana, I think that the drug should be legalized for all uses.
Consuming marijuana for pharmaceutical purposes is not a new discovery. Actually, written references to consume medical marijuana go back to almost 5,000 years ago (herer, 167). Western treatment included marijuana’s medical properties in the mid-1800s, and by the start of the 20th century, doctors had issued more than 150 credentials in the Western medical literature recommending its use for a variety of disorders (Miron, 117). These conditions include relief from pain, glaucoma, nausea and movement disorders. It can also be used to help patients that have or had HIV/AIDS or cancer patients that have to go through chemotherapy because it motivates their appetites.
In our day, thousands of patients are capable of use marijuana as an effective technique of cure for their illnesses. This is probable because fourteen state governments across the country already have documented cannabis’ active healing properties and officially legalized its consumption for pharmaceutical resolutions with the approval of a licensed physician. Though, these patients are at the sympathy of the federal government and its authority.
One of the largest progressive influences that the marijuana…...

...such as financial industries where sustainable financing and banking are the new catch-phrases. Delving into the green initiatives in Malaysia, we see the efforts and support that the government has put into realising the green concept in the country. Malaysia gazetted the Environmental Quality (Industrial Effluent) Regulations, Environmental Quality (Sewage) Regulations and Environmental Quality (Control of Pollution from solid waste transfer stations and Landfill) in 2009. Further to this, Malaysia pledged to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by up to 40% by 2020. The seriousness of the Malaysian government’s intentions towards climate change and the need for energy security and green technology, ultimately led to the establishment of the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water on 9 April 2009. The National Green Technology Policy is defined by four main pillars – energy, minimising energy consumption; environment, conserving and minimising environmental impact; economy, enhancing economic development through technology and social, a need to improve the quality of life for all. The policy basically intends to utilise energy efficiently in bid to enhance the economy while increasing the nation’s capability for green technology innovation and educating the public on green technology. The government has put much effort in ensuring the creation of a green community in the tenth, eleventh and twelfth Malaysia plans. In the current Malaysia plan there is much......

Press Release of a Diverse Culture.

...Press Release of a diverse culture. The criminal justice system in today’s world is affected by language barriers in communication in their ability to enforce the law properly, by the increasing amounts of people migrating into the United States legal and illegally. The United States government and law enforcement are constantly doing studies and mapping trends of people crossing our borders to migrate to the United States to be able to make a better life for themselves and their families, by the alarming rates of people applying for green cards and citizenships. A Green Card or permanent resident card serves as proof of a person's lawful permanent resident status in the United States. That allows the person with the Green Card to have right to live and work permanently in the United States or even become a American citizen. A person’s valid green card also means that he or she by law is registered in the U.S. in accordance with all United States immigration laws. People who obtain a green card before 1989, the green card use to remain valid permanently. Since 1989 the immigration laws have changed that everyone must renew their green cards every 10 years. The law is also enforced in the same way for people who received their green cards in 1989 or before 1989. The previous versions of green cards are no longer valid everyone is required to renew their green cards every 10 years. (Rachel F., 2011) This is a primary......

...Stephanie Martinez Ms. Hawkins English 976 November 24, 2014 “You Must Vote” On September 21, 2012 Hank Green discusses in his Vlog “You Must Vote” how important it is as an American to vote. Green examines all the horrible reasons why people say that they don’t want to, or why they can’t vote. One example Green gives is “one single vote might not count towards who wins the election but every vote does count” (Green). What he is saying is to those of you who think that your one vote won’t change anything, but in fact it does. You need multiple people to make a difference and you can be one of those people. Green talks about how Americans have a voice in this country and voting is a way to get one of those voices heard. We have pretty good system when it comes to voting what we say goes we all have a say in what happens in this country. “Voting is our responsibility” (Green). Green basically is saying that voting is important so all those excuses you have are just excuses and you need to let your voice be heard. I defiantly agree with Green I have never voted and I realize now that my vote might not have a huge impact to what happens but it is still an impact. If only half of people voted in the United States then the other half of people wouldn’t matter. For example, if they voted gay marriage illegal then it will be because no one else is voting to help change it. If all Americans voted then everyone’s view and opinions would matter. After, watching this video I......

We will further discuss how these power bases could have been used better to gain compliance from Thomas. The use of power in the case study is apparent through the actions of Thomas’ boss, Davis and the division Vice President McDonald. ...Green There has been big talk about saving earth or going green, over the past few years. The main purpose is to preserve earth’s natural raw resources because we are running out of natural resources including gas, oil, and coal. There are energy efficient products being promoted such as battery operated cars, appliances, light bulbs and even homes. The problem is many energy efficient items are so expensive, that not everyone can afford to pay for an energy efficient car or an energy efficient home, but there are still many ways to help save the planet earth. Think about what is in that trash bag before you throw it away. Saving the trash could possibly mean saving the earth. If consumers could do something with the trash they discard the manufacturer would not have to use raw natural materials to make products. The average person generates four pounds of trash per day (Brown Par 2 ). If consumers could recycle some of that trash they could reduce landfills. Landfills are a place where your discarded trash goes; it is then buried. Not only are landfills not good for the environment, but they are not good for the wildlife. Another good reason for recycling is it saves energy because the big companies do not have to burn as much energy to produce something new. By using recycled materials it cuts down on the energy consumption as well as the cost for consumers. That means more money in everyone’s pocket. Consumers can also save a lot money recycling because instead of......

The Release

...The Release Every time I close my eyes I see those faces, their faces. Twisted with pain, eye’s begging, mouths open, yet no words coming out. Their expressions were pleading for mercy. Their eyes blacked and their faces darkened as their bodies went limp and fell to the floor. I watched my mother, father, and brother’s horrible murders. They were shown no mercy. When they finished with my brother they turned to me. I was prepared to die. Only death didn’t come. Instead, they tied me to a chair in the corner, deciding fifteen was too young to die. I sat there for thirty hours, staring at the lifeless bodies of my family, to horrified to scream for help, to scared to breathe, ready to wake up from this nightmare like reality. It was raining when the police escorted me out of my house, and into the police car. I couldn’t feel the rain hit me, I couldn’t feel anything. The raindrops hit the window, streaming down the window. I don’t know how long I sat there, time no-longer mattered. Nothing mattered anymore. I was alone. I watched police officers carry three body bags out of my house. The sight made me cringe. My face felt wet, I reached up and discovered I was crying. Before I knew it I was crying so hard I couldn’t stop, my body was heaving up and down so ferociously I thought it might actually kill me. Someone opened the car door, and I fell to the ground. I started gagging from crying so hard, my hair was getting wet and clinging to my face, but I hardly......
