Strengths and Challenges Reflection Letter
Dear Professor Lambert: I really do not have any questions at this time for this course because I am not really sure exactly what this course is for or what it is going to teach us. However I do look forward to the people I will meet in this class, also the obstacles we will overcome together. I would have to say some of my strengths would have to be typing, also my past knowledge of the ethical hacking or unethical that I have already experienced. Although it may not be the ideal thing to mention, it is however the reason I became infatuated with computers. I will return to ITT for my bachelor’s degree in cyber security. Some challenges I know I will face with going to college is the amount of writing we will perform. I do not think of myself as a great writer, I will further my knowledge on the ideal ways of writing papers. In the past when it comes to academic’s my grades no problem attendance however now that’s another story. I have never been a big fan of getting up every day to go to school, but this is for my future so I hope that will continue to be enough motivation for me. I know I will have to get into the habit of reading the textbook or e-book it defiantly does help with understanding the assignments and also gives examples which is very useful to me. I will do my best in this course and of course in college all in all, this is without a doubt the field I would like to be in due to the need of IT professionals and also the…...

...fully formed. On the contrary, each individual is a work in progress, alive with possibilities. And you are drawn toward people for this very reason. When you interact with others, your goal is to help them experience success. You look for ways to challenge them. You devise interesting experiences that can stretch them and help them grow. And all the while you are on the lookout for the signs of growth—a new behavior learned or modified, a slight improvement in a skill, a glimpse of excellence or of “flow” where previously there were only halting steps. For you these small increments—invisible to some—are clear signs of potential being realized. These signs of growth in others are your fuel. They bring you strength and satisfaction. Over time many will seek you out for help and encouragement because on some level they know that your helpfulness is both genuine and fulfilling to you. Relator- Relator describes your attitude toward your relationships. In simple terms, the Relator theme pulls you toward people you already know. You do not necessarily shy away from meeting new people—in fact, you may have other themes that cause you to enjoy the thrill of turning strangers into friends—but you do derive a great deal of pleasure and strength from being around your close friends. You are comfortable with intimacy. Once the initial connection has been made, you deliberately encourage a deepening of the relationship. Unit 2 Assignment 1: Strengths and Challenges

...second week you handed us assignments that were due on Monday January 8th 2014. That is when the stress really started. My concerns begin with falling behind. I am very much over whelmed to start with I have not been in school since I was in 11th grade 28 years ago when my sister was killed in a car accident. Even when I was in school I do not recall ever writing like I am being asked to now. Even though I am writing this letter to you now I truly have no idea what I am doing. I don’t feel like I am comprehending what you are trying to teaching to me. I don’t feel that I am stupid but that my learning skills are not up to speed and I am questioning whether or not I am going to be able to accomplish what is necessary to pass this course. See I have a bad habit of wanting to quit when times get tough for me. I know that I really don’t want to quit but another concern is my back I hurt it while working my last job. Things that are bothering my back are sitting a lot and carrying my bag with all the weight in it. I believe some of my strengths are I’m a hands on learner. I work great with others. I do have some computer knowledge for I have a computer at home and from messing around with it and clicking on the icons I have taught myself some of what it is capable of doing. I have also installed and uninstalled several printers. I also have taught myself several other handy things while doing work around the house like installing sealing fans, light fixtures and......

Reflection Letter

...December 13, 2013 Kaitlyn Culliton 7585 E Peakview Ave Centennial, CO 80011 Dear Ms. Culliton, I am writing this letter as a reflection of my learning process during this semester. Although it has not been easy, mostly due to the fact that it has been almost four years since I took English 121, I can tell you, without any doubt in my mind, that it has been a very interesting learning process. I have learned many things like writing in different formats, the essay structure in detail and the importance of following it, the importance of writing about something I care, and so much more. I was a little afraid (I saw myself as a bad writer) and I did not know what to expect, besides that I was supposed to write many papers (‘duh’, English 122). Little by little I started to feel more confident about the writing process. The readings and assignments helped me to realize what I was doing right and wrong, and the most helpful part was the peer review, it made realize that sometimes all you need to do is looking at the essay from an outsider’s view perspective to realize what is good and what need to be changed. Although I do not know all the writing formats by heart( so many formats and so many rules, )I do know how to get the information needed to properly write an essay in that particular format. If I had to choose among all the new things that I learned, I would say that the most important thing was that as long as I write about a topic that I care I can enjoy the whole...

Strengths and Challenges Reflection

...Chris Woodward 3/28/2014 Unit2 Assign1 Strengths and Challenges Reflection GS1145 My name is Chris Woodward. I started this program not just to make more money, but to better my skills. I can make something more of myself. I’d also like to say, that I have a lot to learn when it comes to going back to school. I believe the challenges I face will make it very difficult for me. I haven’t been to school for over 12 years now. Not only am I in school, but I am juggling family life and work as well. This is definitely a learning curve for me. When I take the time to assess my goals in life, I begin to understand what’s most important to me, and that is my family. When I factor in my family, it allows me to step up and guide myself in such a way that I begin to realize what it would be like if I didn’t succeed. School is all new to me, but at the same time it is also very beneficial. Without it I would stand still. I’d wonder where I would be if I didn’t make that first step. Now I can safely say I’m definitely on the right path. For many years I have worked in customer service, so I have learned a few things that I can bring to class. Each time I’ve attended this class I thought I knew it all, but now I realize there’s more to be taught. We all have different ideas. I feel that we each possess a certain skill that will benefit each and every one. I don’t......

A Personal Reflection: Graduate Study Challenges and Strategies for Success

...A Personal Reflection: Graduate Study Challenges and Strategies for Success Returning to graduate school is a major decision in one's professional life. Although there are many benefits to returning to school to earn a graduate degree, it is also very challenging. This article discusses the challenges of graduate school as well as several tips for success. Keywords: Education, Graduate school, Masters' programs [DIMENS CRIT CARE NURS. 2007;26( 4):158-159] The decision to pursue graduate studies should not be taken lightly. Decisions should be made after serious consideration of personal and professional goals. One must evaluate the variety of programs offered, whether traditional on campus versus online classroom, cost of continuing education, financial aid availability, employment while in school, time allotment to complete studies, computer program technical skills, and computer/library access, to obtain a master's degree. Graduate programs should help the student acquire 3 core competencies. Woolcock[ 1] lists these 3 skills as detective (data collection, analysis, and interpretation), translator (reframing given ideas for diverse groups), and diplomat (negotiation, conflict mediation, and deal making). Benefits of a master's degree include intellectual improvement, personal development, acquisition of enhanced verbal/writing skills, advancement in career positions, and networking with peers and colleagues. According to Leung,[ 2] graduates of master's degrees......

Strengths and Reflections Letter

...Dear Mrs. Altland: In this letter, I will be completely honest. I am nervous to be in a class I never thought I’d be in. But I am more excited to be able to learn about the strategic way technical professionals recruit their employees. Brief questions that concern me are: Will this teach us problem solving by probing into life skills and study skills? Different learning styles, improving motivation and self-esteem, dealing with adversity and failure and creating life change is going to be the most challenging thing to me in the real world. Honestly because culture is different everywhere. As of this present day, I have quite a bit of trials that I fear may challenge me too much or prolong me from attaining my goal to graduate. As of October 2, 2014, I am fearful of this Ebola epidemic. Maybe off topic, but these are my present-day challenges. I intended to move into my apartment in Dallas, however, I am hesitant in doing so. Amongst other worries, I do not always have transportation. I ride the public transits every other day. It has been quite a burden, having to walk anywhere and everywhere I need to go, jobs hardly hiring me because of the dependability concern. But no matter the circumstance, I have a strong heart and never been a quitter. My past academic history will show how serious I take my classes, whether it may be elementary or college. I am fairly new to Texas and a complete stranger to their curriculum. In California, it was not required for us to take any......

Strength and Challenges

...Saturday October 25, 2014 Strength and Challenges For starters professor I am excited to be welcomed into your strategies and am truly looking forward to working together. I cannot wait to get a deeper understanding on your philosophy. I am curios to hear and looking forward to classroom lectures. Although I speak of all my positive outlook and hopes I have not stepped into any sort of educational facility since graduating high school. With that being said I am somewhat nervous. I take everything with a grain of salt. I understand this is no simple or easy task. But with my positive outlook and proper support I hope exceed your expectation of me. I really feel that I have the capability to learn a whole lot in this new field. I’m a very hard worker that is something was instilled in me at a very young age. Also when I am committed to something I seem to enjoy or like, I will not turn away from it. I give my all to things that I know in the long run will better my life. I’m a very humble young man and I appreciate every opportunity that is presented and don’t let them slip by. These strengths combined are what will propel me to succeed in this class. Some of the obstacles and challenges that I face in this class a nothing really overwhelming. They are more so objects that I must take a day at a time. Or just things that you learn with practice. As I mentioned earlier, I have never done anything like this before. So I come in raw to ITT. I just hope to learn and......

Reflection Letter

...Unit: 2 Assignment 1: Strengths & Challenges Reflection Letter Hello, It’s a pleasure to be in class GS1145 on Monday evenings. Especially being out of school since 2005. I can see that this program has lots to offer for student. The course I’m taking is Electrical Engineering, and I’m very thrilled to further my education at ITT-Tech. In this letter I’ll discuss my past challenges from being in school, to my strengths as a student. Also I’ll be going over plans and ideas I’ll be using to do my very best, to meet expectations. My biggest difficulties and weakness that I’ve always had in my past years of school, had been being able to speak in groups and presentations. It’s been a big challenge that I had trouble over coming back in High School. Sometimes I tend to over think thoughts, or get to nervous with speaking out clearly with thoughts and ideas. I plan to over come this difficulty by not over thinking certain ideas, situations, and being able to get ideas out. I also plan on working more in groups and participating more. One of things I enjoy about these courses, are the group presentations that are required by most classes. This will definitely help getting past that shyness, that I always had in the past when it came to presentations. This is something I’m looking forward in future projects and assignments. Some of my strengths are working in groups, paying attention to detail, and being creative. I like being able......

Reflection

...Reflective practice involves reflection of an action, analyzing it and learning from it. It can be classified into three; technical reflection In the first week, I got to know the students to which I did not talk to before. The following week, I together with a group of other students analyzed our ‘first job’ case and the steps that are taken to get the job together with the aftermath of the job application. We used the six thinking hat which was represented by six colors; white, yellow, black, green, red and blue. White represented facts to be considered during the job search such as; it was the first job, there was a lot of competition and limited positions while yellow represented the benefits associated with job search such as improvement of job interview skills and redesigning of CV. Black symbolized the challenges faced at that job hunting time which include long waiting time and rejection of application letters by potential employers while on the hand, showed creativity that assisted in the job search; unique CV creation. Feelings evoked during the job search were represented by color red for instance possible feelings of excitement, nervousness, mixed feelings of the job to start soon, sadness, depression or even lack of motivation after rejection of letters and calls. We reflected on change, the approaches of change using various models and the effects of the change. Change is the act of making a difference in a situation or something. According to Baert (2008),......

Strength and Challenge

...it would be difficult and a new change compared to any other class I have taken before. This course has exposed me to many different writing technique and different writing skills that helped improve my writing in everyway possible. Throughout this English 1301 class I have learned self discipline, and how to handle stress. English is not quite my favorite subject, but during this course I discovered my weaknesses and strongest areas. As the days progressed during the course so did the challenges I had to overcome. One of my personal challenges I faced was the word count I had to meet in order to complete the assignment. By having a certain limit I had to reach not only made me use more details but challenged me in elaborating the topic I was talking about. In any college class you are expected to meet these high standards which I found very difficult but progressed within time and became better at writing more sufficient. Another obstacle I faced during the course was the four letter word time. Time played a crucial role in this course because it kept me from slacking off, and taught me to put school before anything else. At the beginning of the course we were given a syllabus of assignments that we had to complete on a certain date. Having a dead line that had to be met for all of the work stated on my syllabus gave me a hard time for me to adjust to in the at the start. Maturity also plays a crucial role in this course because you are responsible for turning in your......

Gs1140 - Strengths and Challenges

...Ms. Folse: After two weeks in this class, I expect to take something valuable away from it. I believe this class will teach me to be more patient with others, listen to what they say, and understand them. This class seems to be centered more on developing students as a better person, which of course is something completely unexpected to me. I am actually looking forward to spending more time in this environment, I enjoy watching people and the way they respond to certain scenarios. I feel that I will bring a positive vibe to this classroom, as I do have excellent communication skills. I have always been a ‘people’ person, in a sense that people tend to trust me immediately and enjoy my comedic stance on things. It will be nice to be in an environment of younger people, I will be able to see and learn the differences between age groups. One of two concerns that I do have about this class is my short attention span. It will be difficult for me to stand stationary and maintain focus on the speaker for more than a few minutes at a time. The second concern being this class’ bearing on any future career I may choose. It feel it would be beneficial to certain students if there was an option to test out of individual classes. This is probably a bad attitude to have about anything in general, but it is certainly how I feel about a class with ‘vocabulary’ as a primary objective of a certain week. With regards, Eric...

Strenghts and Reflections Letter

...STRENGHTS AND REFLECTIONS LETTER 1. Honesty You are an honest person, not only by speaking the truth but by living your life in a genuine and authentic way. You are down to earth and without pretense; you are a "real" person. I always keep honesty as number one in my life, if there is no honesty there is no loyalty to nothing. For example, I had a close friend as you read had, our friendship ended due to the fact that one lie became two and kept on after that. With me not knowing who that person was, later finding out that his whole life was a complete joke. 2. Perseverance You work hard to finish what you start. No matter the project, you "get it out the door" in timely fashion. You do not get distracted when you work, and you take satisfaction in completing tasks. I show perseverance in all that I propose myself, never giving up till the end. 3. Love You value close relations with others, in particular those in which sharing and caring are reciprocated. The people to whom you feel most close are the same people who feel most close to you. I believe in love it’s what makes us take that leap in life without love I am nothing. I love my wife no matter how hard the cicumstances or the distance I have always found the way to let her know how much I love her 4. Prudence You are a careful person, and your choices are consistently prudent ones. You do not say or do things that you might later regret. I am very careful in what I do I think more of the con’s......
